A little background… My love of photography started many decades ago as a young girl, who was lucky enough to have a great Dad who was also a terrific photographer. So, my first 35mm training was ‘home schooled’! Years later, I would graduate from Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, specializing in Photography.
For over two decades, I was the Staff Photographer at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History. My experience there ranged from extensive still photography to event, location, portrait and documentation photography. A few key projects included photographing 700 Egyptian artifacts, traveling to Kenya, Egypt, Alaska, Dinosaur National Monument and various Indian Reservations to photograph scenes with 4 x 5 color transparencies for enlargement into exhibit murals, some murals, 30 feet wide. On the home-front, I covered museum galas, press previews and black-tie fundraisers.
I now freelance full-time, and am available for event, wedding, portrait and commercial photo shoots.
My passion… All the while, my passion for photography does not take a backseat in my private life. With my love of both photography and travel, I have built a stock file of images from all around the United States: Wyoming, the Southwest USA (National Parks, ghost towns), and Nevada (including night shots of the Las Vegas Strip and Freemont Street), Alaska, Pennsylvania and its neighboring states, New England and the Outer Banks. My archives include an extensive collection of images from the Caribbean, Mexico, Scotland, England, Greece, Turkey, Italy, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Egypt and Africa . I also have thousands of stock images of model-released children and families of all ages in natural, candid settings.

My style… As a Pittsburgh-based wedding photographer who specializes in creative Documentary Style Wedding Photography, I love capturing the emotions, details and events of your wedding day! I am available for local weddings, as well as destination weddings. I have traveled to Block Island, Rhode Island, the Valley of Fire, Nevada and North Carolina for destination weddings. No distance is too great!
My portrait work includes seniors, babies, families and head shots. I have a portable studio which I can bring to you, or I’ll photograph at any location of your choice, for relaxed, fun environmental portraits. I believe a portrait should capture a person’s personality and joy!
My commercial work has been displayed in many trade show exhibits and catalogs, much of it of police and SWAT teams. I am available for any trade show and catalog photography assignments.
And no event is too big or too small for excellent photography coverage! Whether your event is a major conference, a fundraiser, a theater production or a family reunion, I will capture your event in a creative and comprehensive style.
